School Background:
Established in 2004 as Oasis International School with 65 students, OIS was located in an office building in the city of Ankara during the first 12 years. In 2016 with a growing student population and the need for more space, OIS relocated outside of the city on a spacious campus, with two main buildings separated by a sports area. The main building houses the administrative offices, separate sections for elementary and secondary classrooms, two lunchrooms, a recreational area, and a small sports area for elementary students. The second building has two sports courts, locker rooms, and a 300 seat auditorium. OIS is the leading international school in Ankara, offering a rigorous American PreK-12 curriculum taught by well trained teachers from English speaking universities, mostly from the United States. Currently OIS has approximately 435 students representing 73 nations from every inhabited continent.
Job Summary:
This position provides leadership to the overall financial management and business operations of the school. As an important part of the Field Leadership Team, this position seeks to maximize the financial opportunities for the school and strategically optimize the business operations for the purpose of the school mission.
General Responsibilities:
-Create and maintain the OIS annual budget
-Oversees Payroll and Taxes in compliance with all applicable legal entities
-Issue and maintain employment contracts in line with employment law
-Coordinates and ensures accurate and efficient process regarding Tuition, Payments,
Tuition Assistance, Payroll, Benefits, Bookkeeping
-Work collaboratively as a member of Field Leadership Team
-Supervise and provide annual written evaluation for the Operations Staff
-Coordinates Transportation, Human Resources, and Food Services
-Assesses facility needs and presents plan for resolutions
-Maintain positive business relationships with local vendors
-Assist expatriate staff in transition regarding finances and housing
-Meet reporting requirements on Noverant and other Network reporting deadlines
Qualifications:
-Degree in Accounting or related field
-Excellent Oral and Written Communication skills
-Ability to create and analyze financial statements.
-Proficient in widely used financial software, Excel and/or Quickbooks or the
equivalent.
